The update of the Overseer model to version 6.5.9 introduces a new calculation for determining the amount of grass fed to dairy enterprise animals. It also addresses minor defects in model implementation identified by feedback from our users and through our model review and governance processes. 

In addition to the model changes, the release also includes a number of changes to the software aimed at enabling more effortless modelling of farm systems. These include

• the removal of snowfall data entry and the climate tab
• automatic assignment of nearest coast distance for blocks
• the addition of recommended slope type for pasture blocks

As part of our OverseerFM service, all farm analyses were updated to version 6.5.9 where the farm account had a current paid subscription. All publications were also updated, as were OverseerSci and OverseerEd software services.
