Since the launch of OverseerFM in 2018, farmers have benefited from a subscription price that has been subsidised by the Government. The price increase in July is necessary as Overseer Limited moves towards financial independence.
Outside of the government and owner investment Overseer Limited’s income is solely derived from OverseerFM subscriptions. Overseer Limited does not take any share of the fees that farmers pay their rural consultants to use OverseerFM on their behalf. All money received from subscriptions is invested back into the business so OverseerFM can be further developed as a farm decision support tool. This ensures continued support of farmers and growers to operate environmentally and economically sustainable businesses while adding value to the sector.
It’s encouraging to see the use of OverseerFM grow since its launch in 2018 with over 13,000 farms across New Zealand now using it.
